Commitment

Sustainability is a strategic lever for building resilient infrastructure investments that deliver durable value and measurable positive outcomes across Latin America and the Caribbean. In a region facing a significant infrastructure gap alongside accelerating climate, social, and digital transitions, sustainable investment is essential to unlocking long-term growth and stability.

Sustainability embedded at every investment stage

CIFI Asset Management embeds Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations across all investment activities. ESG factors are systematically integrated throughout the investment lifecycle, from origination and screening to risk categorization, due diligence, investment decision-making, and ongoing portfolio management. Each fund managed by CIFI AM applies ESG requirements tailored to its specific strategy, mandate, and risk profile. These may include enhanced due diligence, targeted monitoring, and fund-specific reporting or disclosure obligations. This flexible, fund-level approach ensures alignment with investor expectations while maintaining consistency in risk management and sustainability standards.

As a subsidiary of the CIFI Group, CIFI Asset Management operates under the Group’s Policy Framework, which is applied consistently across all funds and investment activities. The Framework includes, among others, the Sustainability Policy, Exclusion List, Climate Change Policy, Gender Equality Policy, and Human Rights Policy.

CIFI’s policies are anchored in internationally recognized standards and best practices, including the International Labor Organization (ILO) Fundamental Conventions, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, and the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (S1 and S2). Together, these standards underpin a disciplined, transparent, and accountable approach to environmental and social governance.
