Commitments
FDDI I’s investor base is anchored by the country’s leading pension funds: AFP Popular, AFP Reservas, AFP Siembra, and AFP Crecer, reflecting ongoing strong domestic institutional support for sustainable infrastructure. This fund is closed to new investors.
Opportunity
Several key national and regional factors have driven the creation and growth of the Dominican Infrastructure Fund I. As the first investment vehicle of its kind in the Dominican Republic, this fund channels local pension resources into senior debt instruments that finance strategic infrastructure projects across the country. By focusing on sectors such as renewable energy, social infrastructure, and sustainable urban development, the fund addresses critical gaps in national infrastructure while generating significant social and environmental value.
Featured Projects
The project portfolio structured by CIFI Group for the Dominican Infrastructure Fund I includes investments in the energy and social infrastructure sectors, all of which comply with established investment limits. These projects meet their credit and environmental obligations, supporting the country’s environmental goals and the commitments made by the Dominican Republic under the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
