Claudia Calderón

Chairperson

Claudia Calderón Cadena is an independent board director and former C-suite executive with more than 27 years of experience across financial services, corporate governance, asset management, and capital markets in Latin America. Throughout her career, she has successfully established, structured, and expanded regulated financial businesses in Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Chile, working closely with regulators, market infrastructure providers, institutional investors, and global financial institutions.

As Regional Head for Hispanic Latin America at BNP Paribas Securities Services, Claudia led the firm's regional expansion, positioning the business as the second-largest Securities Services provider in the region. She launched the Fund Administration platform in Mexico, developed innovative operating models such as Remote Custody, and contributed to regulatory developments that strengthened cross-border investment capabilities. These experiences gave her extensive expertise in fiduciary businesses, investment vehicles, fund administration, and the institutional ecosystem supporting asset management.

Having spent her career enabling cross-border investment flows into Latin America, Claudia has developed a deep understanding of the financial ecosystem that supports infrastructure and energy investments, including market infrastructure, institutional capital, fiduciary structures, and the governance required to mobilize long-term investment across the region. This perspective allows her to contribute strategically to organizations managing long-term investment platforms and institutional capital.

Today, Claudia serves as Chair of CIFI AM's Board and Chair of the Audit Committee of Zurich Colombia, Advisory Board Member of SURA Investments Holding, Board Member of Fiduciaria SURA Colombia and SURA Investments Management Mexico, where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committees. She brings independent judgment, strong governance, and expertise in corporate governance, audit, enterprise risk management, ESG, cross-border investments, and geopolitical risk. Claudia holds an MBA with Honors, a Corporate Governance Certification from ICGC, completed the Women on Boards program at Harvard Business School, and earned a certificate in Climate & Sustainable Finance from Columbia University.
