Vicente Tuesta is a senior investment professional with more than 25 years of experience across wealth and asset management, global financial markets, pension funds, investment strategy, and corporate governance. He has held senior leadership positions as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, Chief Economist, Investment Strategist, and Board Member across leading financial institutions in Latin America.

Vicente is Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of QYPU Advisors, where he advises high-net-worth families, endowments, and foundations. He leads investment strategy, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, and risk management, with a focus on long-term capital preservation, sustainable growth, and sound investment governance.

He currently serves as a Board Member of Integra AFP and as an Independent Board Member of Industrias del Papel. Previously, he served as Independent Chairman of the Board of Scotia Bolsa and as a Board Member of the Lima Stock Exchange and Colfondos Pension Fund.

Prior to QYPU, Vicente was Partner and Chief Executive Officer of PICTON Peru Family Office. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Profuturo AFP – Scotiabank, where he led an organization serving approximately 1.8 million clients and a team of more than 400 employees. Before becoming CEO, he was Chief Investment Officer of Profuturo AFP, overseeing a global multi-asset portfolio of more than USD 12 billion. Earlier, he held senior positions as Head of Strategy at Prima AFP, Chief Economist at Deutsche Bank, and Head of Research at the Central Reserve Bank of Peru.

Vicente has published research in leading international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money, Banking & Finance, Emerging Markets Review, and Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from New York University and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico.
