Nicolás Giancola is a finance professional specialized in infrastructure and energy investments across Latin America, with experience in the origination and structuring of financing solutions for sustainable projects.

He joined CIFI in 2021 and currently serves as Origination and Strategic Development Director, leading the design and execution of CIFI’s origination strategy across the region. In this role, Nicolás is responsible for identifying and developing investment opportunities across multiple sectors and geographies, working closely with sponsors, developers, financial institutions, and internal investment teams. His focus is on assessing project bankability, structuring tailored financing solutions, and supporting opportunities from early-stage development through financial close.

Prior to joining CIFI, Nicolás worked at BICE (Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior), Argentina’s development bank, where he led the financing of more than 20 renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, biomass, and hydro, as well as port and industrial infrastructure projects.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Banco Hipotecario, where he was involved in large debt issuance processes in the capital markets, gaining extensive experience in financial structuring and relationship management with a wide variety of stakeholders. His career reflects a commitment to fostering sustainable infrastructure through sound financial practices and strategic partnerships.

Nicolás holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) and a Master’s degree in Finance from Universidad del CEMA (UCEMA).
